No Kidding Canyon

No Kidding Slot Canyon is a thrilling adventure located south of Hanksville, that packs a punch with its challenging rappelling sections and unique anchor work. The approach to the canyon is about one mile on relatively flat terrain, but then drastically drops into the smoothed curvature of the Navajo Sandstone at the entrance. The entrance to the canyon is a great spot to learn some stemming moves as in many of the classic canyons, but soon after this, the canyon widens up into more of a relatively wide box canyon. The canyon's unique shape and narrow passages require quick thinking and agility, making it a thrilling experience from start to finish.

No Kidding Slot Canyon was established as a ghosting-only canyon, which means that no permanent anchors should be used. This means that we'll get to utilize the 'Sandtrap Anchor' method, which adds an extra layer of excitement and challenge to the rappelling sections. The canyon is mostly dry, but the steep walls and creative anchor work make it a very fun canyon that provides people with a comprehensive understanding of ghost anchors. With its unique combination of stemming, rappelling, and anchor work, this canyon is a must-visit for anyone looking to improve their skills and push their limits.

This canyon is perfect for people that want to break into the next level of slot canyons by learning and becoming comfortable using sandtraps.
